WHAT IS
SPACE TO DREAM GALLERY?
We are a permanent children’s art gallery in Brixton, creating ambitious, accessible opportunities for children to encounter and express themselves through visual art. Our work is rooted in the belief that children are not simply recipients of art education: they are artists, thinkers and makers with their own perspectives, questions and visual languages.
Our location in Brixton is important to us. We want high-quality visual arts experiences to be part of children’s everyday lives, not something reserved for those who already have access to cultural institutions or specialist education.
If you would like updates or would like to get involved - from offering help to connecting us to funders - then we would love to hear from you.

MEET THE TEAM

Fran
Francesca Forcolini is a creative practitioner and co-founder of Space to Dream Gallery.
She studied Fashion and Textiles at Central Saint Martins and began her career in the fashion industry, working across design, materials and making. Over the past decade, her practice has moved increasingly into community arts, where she has developed and facilitated creative programmes with children, young people and communities.
At the heart of Francesca’s practice is a curiosity about creativity itself — how making, experimentation and play can open up new ways of thinking and seeing. Her work is grounded in the belief that creativity is not simply about producing an artwork, but about developing a way of engaging with the world: asking questions, following ideas, taking risks and discovering what might happen next.
She later completed an MA in Community Arts and Social Anthropology at Goldsmiths, University of London, deepening her interest in creativity, culture, participation and the social value of artistic practice.
In 2025, Francesca co-founded Space to Dream Gallery with Morgane Brieussel, creating a space where children’s ideas and creative voices are taken seriously, valued and celebrated.

Morgane
Morgane Brieussel is a creative practitioner, educator, curator, and co-founder of Space to Dream Gallery, bringing over two decades of experience working with children across educational and artistic settings. In her creative practice, she works across photography, printmaking, and textile art, including embroidery, natural dyeing, and crochet.
Morgane holds a BA in Education and an MA in Art and Education from Goldsmiths, University of London. Her postgraduate research examined anti-racist art pedagogies, focusing on practical methods to decolonise Western art canons and cultivate more equitable art curricula.
Central to her teaching philosophy is a deep engagement with tactility and materiality. By prioritising hands-on creation, Morgane explores how the physical act of making reveals alternative forms of intelligence and embodied knowledge, ways of knowing that are frequently overlooked by traditional educational frameworks and broader society.
Alongside her professional and artistic endeavours, Morgane is a mother of three, continuously navigating the rich intersection of personal growth, research, creative practice, and family life.
